Autobiographical Corner

A most-agreeable day yesterday:

7:15 to 8:30: work
8:30 to 9:15: mass
9:15 to 11:45: work
11:45 to 2:45: exercise, lunch, nap
2:45 to 6:30: work with two short breaks and period for rosary
6:30 to 7:30: Pawn Stars and pizza
7:30 to 8:30: walk w Marie and harvest cherry tomatoes
8:30 to 10:30: olympics, popcorn, playing Pente, hanging out with kids
10:30-11: reading in bed

I think Ignatius would encourage a person to break it down, to think about what made it agreeable. Well, it was a short work day: just seven hours. They were focused hours, but only seven. The day was punctuated with physical and spiritual opportunities, plus periods of relaxation. I got to spend time with the wife and kids. And I even sneaked in a bit of intellectual activity right before falling to sleep for the day.

Every day should be so fine.
