It reads a little bit like one of those e-mails from Nigeria that offer reverse-investment opportunities ("Let my put $100,000,000 in your checking account, and you see get $1,000,000, for done nothing"), but it's a decent update on the RCC trials there:

The [Roman Catholic Church] which was established by Apostle Peter, between 30 and 67 AD has been under siege across Nigeria with more armed attacks being reported daily. As at the last count, six churches including the Saint Charles Catholic Church, Obudu, Cross River State have fallen victim of marauders. Though there had been random cases of rape, mugging, murder, assassination and accidental discharges by policemen which had left innocent citizens dead, Nigeria cannot pass for a violent nation until the recent series of violent attacks on churches.
The continued desecration of houses of worship by mindless dare-devil hoodlums has painted the nation in another negative light such that Nigeria is now being labeled by Western media as a violent nation where security of lives and property cannot be guaranteed.
Disturbed by the turn of events, the 63-year old Catholic archbishop of Lagos Metropolitan See, Anthony Cardinal Okogie, summoned the over 60 parish priests and their assistants to his Holy Cross Cathedral headquarters on Thursday for what insiders described as a security meeting. Obviously piqued by the development, the cardinal read the riot act to the priests, admonishing them never again to be complacent.
