The Smartest People in the World?

Is it me, or are there a lot of articles indicating that the Scots are a bunch of flippin' degenerates? Gambling problem (1-in-10 Scots children have a gambling problem--I don't believe it, but still), drug problem, hootch, gangs. You'd expect more from the inventors of golf . . . or maybe not (PG-13 link).
