The Drag Folks

In his column this morning, George Will writes about drilling in Alaska. WaPo Link. He makes this funny, but helpful, observation:

For some people, environmentalism is collectivism in drag. Such people use environmental causes and rhetoric not to change the political climate for the purpose of environmental improvement. Rather, for them, changing the society's politics is the end, and environmental policies are mere means to that end.

As Christians, we're called to be good stewards of the Earth's resources, so environmentalism isn't a bunch of hogwash. Yet the existence of the environmental drags that Will identifies sometimes makes it hard.
