Welcome to Labor Day Weekend
BYCU, of sorts (Blog Post)
Ah, the melancholic long weekend. Life grabs you by the nape and forces you to look down the tunnel of death. Better grab a drink.

Brutal, hot, muggy weather is kinda throwing off the vibe, though. If I go outside for more than ten minutes, I can't tell where my scrotum ends and my thigh begins. AI tells me these past five weeks probably rank in the top ten all-time for Devil's Crotch.
So I'm about as sad about summer's close as Russia was when Napoleon left. "Ah gee, whatever will I do when I can't walk outside without getting assaulted by a fusilier who's ferociously annoyed that all the women were packed up and moved to the next town before he and his fellow Napoleonic rabble arrived?"
So today, I will stay inside (yet) again, with the AC cranked, giving thanks that I don't live in AC-thwarted Europe, which is green in its ideology and green in its underwear from all the humidity-loving moss.
Fortunately, drinking is an indoor sport. Sure, if conditions are right, it can be even more enjoyable outside, but those conditions--no excessive heat or cold, no bugs, no strong wind, no precipitation--are more elusive than Frank Abagnale Jr. wearing one of those Elven cloaks that Galadriel gave to Frodo and Sam.
We'll see how the day (and weather) sorts itself out. I wish all of you a glorious end of summer. As always, I appreciate you stopping by TDE.
