Hope persists: The Epstein files will become public now!
We're like the abused child who brightens when his sober dad apologizes and says he'll stop beating him.
But then the dad gets drunk again and gets out the belt buckle.
I'm pretty confident that's what will happen here and it's awful.
Let's face it: People like us didn't vote for Trump because we like him. We voted for him because he's such an iconoclastic prick, we thought he'd stick the Swamp up the Establishment's ass and watch it dart about frantically like a freshly decapitated chicken.
But no.
The Epstein files weren't released, and without those, everything else is just a farce.
The Epstein files are the sine qua non of anti-Establishment bona fides. No files, no legitimacy, just another Establishment hack.
Although I rejoice at Larry Summers going down, that's nothing. He's a former official, a former Harvard President, a former everything. I honestly didn't even know he was in the public eye anymore.
What comes next as the files get released?
We know Epstein was an intelligence asset. We may not have precise facts but no other explanation of the phenom that was "Jeffrey Epstein," from his rise to his "suicide," makes sense. He was an intelligence asset or he didn't exist (which is probably what we'll be told in a few years).
Now, is it Mossad? CIA? I have no idea.
But I do know that, if Epstein was an intelligence asset, the likelihood of those Epstein files getting released in full is about as likely as Britain allowing free speech. Intelligence agencies need to be exorcised. Only then can the West start to function properly.
