Gypsies Pastoral

> The Pontifical Council for Migrants has released a 30-page document on pastoral care for gypsies, noting with regret that nomadic peoples are especially vulnerable to the appeal of sects, and often marginalized by society. > "Guidelines for the Pastoral Care of Gypsies" provides an overview of

Something for Ash Wednesday

Lent starts. What will you do differently? Will the forty days pass (again) with no material change in your life? The day starts with fervor, but will it (again) pass by 11:00, your bid for holiness undone by simple hunger? (Excuse me for talking to myself) A few excerpts

Ready for Lent?

Well, I've completely abused this Fat Tuesday: two Mountain Dews, two candy bars, chips, and other food. But no beer or wine. It just didn't fit into the schedule today. Now, it's almost time for the lean days. I found this great list of

Remember my rant against school field trips [https://thedailyeudemon.com/3803/]? Here's a story that corroborates my view [http://www.mlive.com/newsflash/michigan/index.ssf?/base/news-32/1141127344116300.xml&storylist=newsmichigan] . 4 billion

"Analysts predict that the number of global mobile phone customers will double to four billion in five years." That's from the New York Times. That's remarkable (there are only 6.5 billion people in the world). That also sucks (note: employ proper British usage

Beckham

> Soccer superstar David Beckham, whose mental agility has been questioned before in the British media, has said his six-year-old son's maths homework leaves him baffled. > The England captain and Real Madrid midfielder was forced to call on his wife Victoria, a former member of

What To Do in a Terrorist Attack

One of the funnier things I've seen this year [http://maybesomeday.org/wp-content/uploads/2006/01/Things_You_Should_Know.pdf#search='What%20to%20do%20in%20a%20terrorist%20attack'] . PG-13 and occasionally juvenile.
