Zero Tolerance for Juvenile Violence

I guess we shouldn't find this surprising. In a culture with increasingly fewer children, why should adults know how to deal with them? > Maribel Cuevas [11] was arrested in April in a police operation which involved three police cars and a helicopter. > She has since spent

Black Sunday

We'd never heard about Disneyland's opening day fifty years ago. This writer gives a concise overview of a miserable day: > The heat and the crowds, along with a Magic Kingdom full of other problems, contributed to what will forever after be called Black Sunday in

Hollyroit

Interesting commentary piece at NYT that compares (not contrasts) Hollywood and Detroit. Lactating Lawsuit

Mrs. Scheske breast-feeds the Scheske babies. The cost savings have bought Eric hundreds of cases of beer. But there's something unsavory about the militant mammary movement: > A Great Lakes Naval Base mother is crying foul after an employee at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor allegedly asked her

The Next Civil Right

An absolutely-disgusting article. Link [http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2002382718_horse15m.html]. The only excerpt we'll present: > The farm was talked about in Internet chat rooms as a destination for people looking to have sex with livestock, he said.
