Drinking with the Saints

A TDE reader sent this picture to me last weekend. Whatta great find. "Pub crawl your way through the sacred seasons with this entertaining and useful collection of cocktail recipes, distilled spirits, beer, and wine for virtually every occasion on the Catholic liturgical calendar. One part bartender's guide, one part spiritual manual, a dash of irreverence, and mixed with love: Drinking with the Saints is a work that both sinner and saint will savor."

"Drinking with the Saints becomes an occasion (if not an excuse) to slow one's pace, savor a drink, and slip not into inebriation but a relaxed look at the saints." Father Mitch Pacwa, S.J.

From Catholic News Agency:

[The] book has two parts: the first provides brief saint biographies and paired beverages for almost every day of the calendar year, while the second recommends drink selections based on the liturgical season of the year, such as Lent or Advent. More than 350 cocktail recipes are included, as well as toasts, fun facts, and ideas for ways to celebrate.

My excitement at finding a book like this is second only to my shame for not noticing it for nearly a year after its publication (May 2015).
