A father goes to court, arguing that his four-year old boy has a constitutional right to use peyote because the hallucinogen plays a part in the father's Native American religion.

Anne Zapf, whose husband runs a peyote church in Arizona, said “I'm not even into handing peyote to anybody who's under 30”¦” Besides psychological considerations, she said “it tastes bad, and it makes you throw up.”

So who advocated the peyote-smoking father's case? Michigan Indian Legal Services, a grantee of the federally-funded Legal Services Corporation.

Yup, this system ain't broken.
