Arianna Huffington started a blog today. Being its first day, we felt obliged to mention it. Link.

Huffington with a blog. Hmmm. Isn't that kind of like Donald Trump with a Yugo? Sure, he might get one decked out with all the extras (eight-track player), but it's still a Yugo. Why would Huffington bother with a blog, even one as decked-out as hers?

Perhaps it signals the blogosphere coming of age: even the rich and famous want one.

Or maybe--much more likely--she's developed a crush on Eric Scheske and is hoping to impress him.

Hey! Forget it, Arianna. You're not that good looking, and Eric is devoted to his wife.

(But he is flattered.)
