Whorehouse Days

Towns have all sorts of ways to attract tourists. The most popular way is to concoct some sort of festival. We've seen the Potato Festival, the River Fest, White Pigeon Days, Old Fashioned Days, Covered Bridge Days. And now: Whorehouse Days, to be held in Gilbert, Minnesota. Registration-required link. Excerpt:

[Whorehouse Days are] a celebratory look back at a time during Prohibition when the town was known for its bars, gambling and prostitutes.
Festival organizers had wanted to use the community center for a production of "The Best Little Whorehouse in Gilbert,'' a takeoff on "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.'' In a letter, organizer Bob Cap told city officials the group also wanted to use the arena for an antique fair and antique car show.
Other events include bed and bath races, a best-dressed madam contest and an attempt to build the world's longest bar.
