St. Ataturk?
It seems Canada and the countries in the European Union are in a race to see who can wholly secularize their cultures first. The European countries have a firm edge when it comes to the populace as a whole, but Canadian government and its officials hold the lead over their counterparts in Europe. This is Canada's most recent: "The administration of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Frederickton has decided to ban the bedside bibles that once comforted patients on the grounds that they are a health hazard." Link.
In about twenty years, the only saint you'll hear about in Canada and the EU is St. Ataturk, the thorough-going secularist founder of modern Turkey.
