Fox Plunges Deep Again

Tonight at 8:00, Fox will premier its new reality show: Marriage 911. Link. Excerpt:

Fox's "Marriage 911" gives one squabbling couple, Chris and Laura King, the services of veteran British marriage counselor Jamie Greene for a week of intense soul searching.

"It's not pretty," said Greene. "People don't hold marriage in the same esteem that they did before. It used to be a major commitment and until death do us part; nowadays everyone thinks they can just walk out the door."

What's next? Child Abuse 911? We realize Fox's surface goal in the new show is to help a troubled married couple. That's commendable, but what's really happening is that Fox is trying to make money from intimate human suffering. That's despicable.

Oh well, maybe some good will come from it. Maybe a few couples will pick-up tips to help their marriage. We doubt it, but ya never know.
