Well, [the Dow dropped below 8,000](http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/081119/wall%5Fstreet.html?.v=49&ref=thedailyeudemon.com). Panic time? Naw, I'm past that. I panicked 15 months ago and sold off a chunk, and I panicked last February and sold off a large chunk. Now I'm just looking to buy and shift. I don't think this is a "buyer's market." I think this is the first stages of a long bear market. Of course, all the experts disagree with people like me. Every investment adviser I know is optimistic: "Buy now. It'll go back up." Like cheerleaders. Heck, they might be right: The team might win. But sometimes I get the impression that, like cheerleaders, their job is to be rote-positive and root like victory is inevitable . . . but sometimes it simply isn't.

Just learned something new about myself: Mick Jagger and I have the same number of children. Of course, he went about it a little differently: "[There is Karis, who came from his brief affair with the singer Marsha Hunt; Jade, from his first marriage to Bianca; his four children with Jerry Hall ”“ Elizabeth, 24, James, 23, Georgia, 16, and Gabriel, 11\. Then there's nine-year-old Lucas, the product of a three-month affair with the Brazilian model Luciana Morad that effectively ended his two decades together with Hall](http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/features/not-fade-away-mick-jagger-on-the-trials-of-life-at-65-994413.html?ref=thedailyeudemon.com)."

Maybe I'll get knighted.

Dang it, I thinking this was my year: [People magazine has named Australian actor Hugh Jackman the "sexiest man alive."](http://www.stuff.co.nz/4767168a1860.html?ref=thedailyeudemon.com)

Parents of the year:

> [Italian medics diagnosed a 13-year-old boy with Playstation addiction after his desperate father rushed him to hospital. At first doctors at southern Italy's Lecce hospital thought Lorenzo Amato was suffering from a stroke or a severe brain disorder. The teenager couldn't speak and didn't seem to understand anything going on around him. Then doctors discovered he'd just finished a marathon session on his new Playstation](http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm%5F3092418.html?menu=news.quirkies&ref=thedailyeudemon.com).

Those Mormons are cutting-up the edge with their style these days: [A Salt Lake City man is accused of slashing another man's face *with a meat cleaver he was wearing as a necklace*](http://www.sltrib.com/news/ci%5F11010104?ref=thedailyeudemon.com).
