My wife's parents had five children, then the "oops" baby. Michael came when Marie was eight. I first met him when he was ten. He was just an annoying little thing, but now he has grown up and is writing advertisements. I didn't realize the extent of his talent until I re-activated my Facebook site and checked out his page, which features a handful of beer ads he's written like this one:
I'm proud of the little guy. It seems like just yesterday we were wondering if he's hetero. (He and his wife occasionally read TDE. I'm hoping they see this. Excuse any profanities in the com box.)

I proposed to my wife in Ypsilanti, Michigan. It's a blue collar town about ten miles east of Ann Arbor. I went to UM in Ann Arbor, Marie went to Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti. We spent the bulk of our dating life there. I even proposed to her on a bridge over the Huron River. We haven't been back much, but a friend tells me I need to: Ypsilanti now has the Corner Brewery, which, if I read the map correctly, is about 200 yards from where I proposed. It looks like a great place. If it'd been around 20 years ago, I probably would've been too drunk to propose and wouldn't have gotten myself into my present life predicament.

John Cleese has announced that Great Britain will re-po the U.S. All sorts of new laws will come into play. It's funny stuff, and this item is fitting BYCU material:
The cold tasteless stuff you insist on calling beer is not actually beer at all. Henceforth, only proper British Bitter will be referred to as beer, and European brews of known and accepted provenance will be referred to as Lager. South African beer is also acceptable as they are pound for pound the greatest sporting Nation on earth and it can only be due to the beer. They are also part of British Commonwealth - see what it did for them.
