I get along without sleep about as well as a paraplegic gets along without a wheelchair. But I'm going on my third day without eight hours sleep, and it doesn't show signs of stopping. I've always been envious of those people that can get by on seven hours night sleep (though I think the people who get by on less than seven are damaging their health or knocking years off their lives). I also cringe at that saying of a desert father (extremely rough): Five hours of sleep is enough, if you're a fighter. But it is what it is: I need eight and, if I'm being honest, more like eight and a half. A doctor told me years ago that the average range is seven to nine hours, and that I should just live with my sleep needs. Well, I'm bucking it this week, with the help of energy drinks . . . which means an inevitable crash is coming. But maybe that's when I switch to beer. We'll see. But I do know there's no time for blogging today (early morning readers will notice that this is going up much later than usual).

Hopefully (hopefully) tomorrow will feature a robust BYCU. If anyone has any drinking articles, please email them to me. Thanks.
