A neighbor says he wasn't bowled over when he heard: Authorities are considering charges in the bizarre case of a woman who sat on her boyfriend's toilet for two years – so long that her body was stuck to the seat by the time the boyfriend finally called police. . . . He told investigators he brought his girlfriend food and water, and asked her every day to come out of the bathroom. No word on whether they had relations during those 24 months.
My highly-tuned antennae for such things tells me there's a very sad story behind this.

Homosexual activists plan to throw ashes on the Pope when he comes here. Classy move, indeed.
The story is from Ignatius Insight. The article also recommends three Ignatius books about homosexuality. Based on one incident, I'm pretty sure Ignatius Press sells/rents its mailing lists. Do I really want to be on Ignatius' records as someone interested in this topic?
(Aside: I have more Ignatius Press books than I can count, and I don't fault it for raising money by selling/renting its mailing lists. I just found this possibility humorous.)

It's my birthday, so I'm going to stop there and give myself a little break ("Hey Scheske, this post was no more empty than your normal palaver!"). I'll be back tomorrow with beer and drink observations.
