# What? No Federalism for Gay Marriage?

[In this opinion piece](http://www.detnews.com/2005/editorial/0504/11/A09-145952.htm?ref=thedailyeudemon.com), a gay-rights writer comes out of the closet, so to speak, and flat-out states that gays are counting on the U.S. Supreme Court to force homosexual marriage on the American people. Her words undercut the “official” homosexual position, which says it wants each state to decide what unions to recognize.

We don't like the writer's politics and we'll labor against her prediction, but we appreciate her honesty.
