I'm still addressing matters that I neglected during my illness. One of them: Rhapsody tagged me for a meme. Here goes:
The rules for this meme:
(1) Link to the person that tagged you.
(2) Post the rules on your blog.
(3) Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
(4) Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.
(5) Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.
Six non-important things:
1. I have a large study in my basement that contains thousands of books (actually, it's very important to me, but thoroughly unimportant to anybody else).
2. James Meredith once called me on the phone, and I once called Russell Kirk on the phone. Both conversations lasted less than ten minutes.
3. I like to shoot baskets in my driveway.
4. My nephews call me "The E-Train," a name I gave myself while playing basketball with them after we watched a UM football game in which Brent Musburger incessantly referred to running back Anthony Thomas as "The A-Train."
5. I like to play fantasy football, even though I now limit myself to one league because of constraints on my time.
6. I once modeled men's clothing (for K-Mart, in a cheesy local deal; my 13-year-old daughter's favorite story).
I tag (and I apologize if you've already been tagged; I haven't been keeping up on others' blogs because of the Great Illness of 2008): Old World Swine, Trubador, The Reticulator, Quaffs and Quibbles, The Blue Boar, and Abbey-Roads2.
