Not much this morning. Super Bowl last night, plus some sort of odd illness brewing: body aches, mild nausea, tearing feeling in my chest. Cold? Flu? Bronchitis? Strep Throat? Hypochandria? Beats me, but I slept in and have neither time nor motivation to blog.

Congratulations to the NY Giants. It's the first time I can remember rooting for a NY team. I had always been a Tom Brady fan (UM grad, (formerly) devout Catholic) and in past years would've rooted for the Patriots, but in light of the cheating and their efforts to run up scores earlier in the season, I couldn't root for them. I'm not putting them on my "Teams to Hate" list, but this year, I think they showed themselves to be less than a first-class organization.

Tonight's advertisers will use an array of tactics designed with one purpose: motivating us to buy their products.
