Excess?

One reader has questioned whether a bottle of wine and a can of beer (Eric's consumption last night) is excessive drinking. Not by our standards. A bottle of wine equals a six pack of beer, so Eric consumed seven beers over the course of three+ hours. He's not bragging to his Baptist friends about it, but he's not an AA candidate, either.
