# The Slow Eudemon and Hitler

I don't know if my wits are turned off ("Hey, Scheske, they're always off!") or if the stories on Internet are simply lame. Virtually nothing struck me as post-worthy (and it's not like I set the highest standards or anything). There are two more stories about fraud art ([800 naked people at Sobe](http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071008/ap%5Fen%5Fot/art%5Ftunick%5Fs%5Fnudes%5F1?ref=thedailyeudemon.com) and [a crack in a floor](http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm%5F2545844.html?ref=thedailyeudemon.com)\--which is actually kinda neat, though not art, whereas the mass nudity photos are not neat, not art, and terribly tiresome), another [story about a mentally sick minister](http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2007/1008072scuba1.html?ref=thedailyeudemon.com) (engaging in *de rigueur* San Fran conduct), and an interesting stat from the IRS: [The top 1% of taxpayers (AGI over $364,657) earned approximately 21.2% of the nation's income (as defined by AGI), yet paid 39.4% of all federal income taxes. That means the top 1% of tax returns paid about the same amount of federal individual income taxes as the bottom 95% of tax returns](http://taxprof.typepad.com/taxprof%5Fblog/2007/10/top-1-pay-more-.html?ref=thedailyeudemon.com).

Fortunately, I ran across this interesting bite: Lots of women wanted Adolph, according to a new collection of letters just published. "There are postcards from Nazi party members holidaying in Majorca, letters from lovelorn women - "I would like to make you my little puppy my dear, my eternal, my lovely Adolf" ”“ and from party bigwigs who crept shamelessly in print to their boss." Does he look almost, you know, human? That smirk, almost like he has a sense of humor. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of him like that before.
