Fearing the Food II

Last month, we mentioned that Eric Scheske's daughter, Meg (4), still feared "the salami" that hit Southeast Asia in December. This evening, Eric ran outside to chase off two stray dogs that potentially threatened to attack his wife and two youngest. Meg came to the door, blanket in hand, wanting to know why Daddy was yelling. After hearing about the dogs, Meg, wild-eyed and scared, wanted to know if they were "pickles."

(A few weeks ago, two pit bulls attacked and nearly killed a local girl who was getting the mail from her front yard. It's been highly publicized here and we're guessing Meg has picked up odds and ends. We wonder what Meg's little imagination has concocted about those killers: stocky, oblong, and smelly, with big claws and fangs?)
