Day trip to Frankenmuth for the Summer Music Festival. Beer and polka music, both of which are best enjoyed in moderation, but this trip makes it hard to be moderate in either. There's music and beer everywhere. Of course, seven children and the hassles of taking care of them make moderate beer drinking nearly mandatory, but my older children are beginning to help in that area. I just need to train them a little better, "If you see me bust out my Michael Jackson moonwalk to the Beer Barrel Polka, assume you're on Tess and Max duty the rest of the night . . . and probably most of tomorrow morning, too."

The Ron Paul bandwagon picks up steam. Check out this Thomas Woods article. Be sure to watch the video, and make sure you watch to the very end. Very humorous and very disconcerting.

Funny but heart-warming story, courtesy of the age of broken homes: A father posed for a publicity picture in a desperate attempt to find the daughter he has not seen for ten years unaware she was just a few yards behind him.
