Mastering Burke

The Masters is here, and that means one thing: No Martha Burke. We'd forgotten about what may have been the last whimper of militant feminism two years ago this month, but the New York Times reminded us. LINK. They raised the female question to member Bill Stevens, who said, "I do my own private survey on it. It's pretty lopsided. Nobody even cares about the subject. In my unscientific survey, I found one person who didn't agree with the club."

So is Martha Burke daunted? Yup: "I wouldn't go near a golf course. I am so disgusted with what I learned about the way corporate America uses golf and how women are excluded from the business access it provides."
