It's the Solemnity of the Ascension under the traditional calendar, the Pistons play the Bulls tonight, and I have non-stop meetings today from 8:30 this morning through 6:30 tonight (at which point I get to attend Michael's baseball game). So much, so much. I don't know whether to get hyped up and seize the day or go catatonic.

I probably need to go to McDonald's for one of their special meals: [Illinois 8-Year-Old Finds Bag of Marijuana in McDonald's Happy Meal](http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,272774,00.html?ref=thedailyeudemon.com). I might have troubles tracking my billable hours, but other than that, it might be a good plan.

[This is one of the scariest things I've read about within the realm of "it could happen to you"](http://wcbstv.com/topstories/local%5Fstory%5F136214216.html?ref=thedailyeudemon.com):

> She was having surgery to remove her diseased right eye -- when things went terribly wrong.

> "Suddenly I heard the surgeon say 'cut deeper, pull harder' to the resident and it occurred to me that something here was not right," Weihrer said.

> And indeed it wasn't.

> "And I realized suddenly I was awake and that they were not done," she said.

> Carol was experiencing a rare, but horrifying surgical nightmare called "anesthesia awareness." She was awake, but paralyzed. The general anesthesia wasn't working.

Yikes, kinda makes my upcoming rough day look easy.

I get a fair amount of my material from [FARK](http://www.fark.com/?ref=thedailyeudemon.com). It's a site where contributors find interesting stories and submit them with clever taglines. This tagline from earlier today slayed me: "Paris Hilton will spend 23 days instead of 45 in a 'special needs housing unit' at the Detention Center due to 'good behavior.' Mentally challenged demand new title since 'special needs' is now tainted."

In case you're curious: [The owner of Napoleon's penis died last Thursday in Englewood, N.J.](http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/17/opinion/17pascoe.html?%5Fr=1&oref=slogin&ref=thedailyeudemon.com) This is the opening line from an opinion piece about . . . I'm not sure. Check it out yourself, if you're curious about Napolean fanatics and collectors.

Two good Lenos:

> \# I had a full colonoscopy today. Not at the doctor's office. At the gas station near my house.
> \# In Beverly Hills, they just opened an "Armani 76” station.
