Opening day 2007. The American League champs will host Toronto at 1:05 (EDT). I'm looking forward to it. I'm hoping tickets are available during the season.

Trailers from low-budget movies in the 1970s. Man, there's some funny stuff here. Especially recommended: Sugar Hill.

I tend to agree with Orestes Brownson that there is no right of secession, but I also don't think the issue is nearly as cut-and-dry as people think (well, it's pretty cut-and-dry now as a practical matter, but theoretically, it's a tough call). It's coming up again, at least among some folks in Vermont. WaPo Link. I sympathize. If states could secede, or invoke nullification like Calhoun thought lawful, it would keep the federal government more honest.

This story can't wait for Friday, plus I won't have a Brews You Can Use feature on Good Friday, so I post it now:

[Two men with too much time on their hands] carefully stacked more than 8,000 30-packs of Coors Light, creating a 15-foot-high mountain that features a steaming locomotive riding atop wheels crafted from eight stainless steel kegs.

Something for Monday Morning
