A beautiful passage and one that I found penetrating, especially the first line.
Of course, it's precisely the first line that needs to be kept out of the hands of the Supreme Court. A divine truth applied in an immanent way (meaning, detached from its divine source) causes problems every time. Just ask those who lived under regimes that wanted to establish heaven on earth.
