The Weekend Eudemon
Good first weekend of the new year. I had a flurry of work Tuesday through Thursday and was able to leave work early on Friday. I actually got a lot of reading done, plus a little writing. I thought about drinking a little wine, but declined. I haven't drank any alcohol during 2007. This might be a record.
I was sorry to see this at Mark Shea's blog: "I believe you know Dom Lettieri from In His Sign Network in PA. I just wanted to let you know he passed away this week." I didn't know Dom, but I spent an hour with him on his radio show last summer, talking about Catholic blogging. He was a charming man. I could tell he was a little older and struggling a bit with the technology, but it was a pleasant visit. May his soul soar.
Survivors. Quite the edgy pro-life blog. I'm interested in seeing other morally-orthodox blogs that appeal to teens and twenty-somethings (wild fonts, dark graphics, pointed prose). Please send recommendations (email link on the left).
Got an extra $175,000? You can go to Moonview for some New Age spa action. Excerpt:
[F]or an annual fee of $175,000, they give celebrities, corporate honchos and other high rollers a huge helping of their new age healing - everything from shamanism, acupuncture, yoga and hypnotherapy sessions to brain painting, which uses the brain's electric signals to create designs on a computer screen.
Until next week.
