Two Jobs Don't Equal Freedom?

G.K. Chesterton said the workplace would enslave women, not emancipate them:

"While working men spend 6.4 hours a day at work and working women about 5 hours, the women spend about twice as much time on housework and childcare as men do." Touchstone, April 2005, p. 53.
