> The average American household has more TVs in it than people, new research has indicated.

> A study by Nielsen Media Research has revealed that in the typical US home there are 2.73 television sets and 2.55 people.

> It was also revealed that TV viewing in the US hit an all-time high during the 2005-06 season. The average household now watches an average of 1 hour and 54 minutes of primetime TV per night, up a minute over the 2004-05 season; per day, the average time a household watched TV rose to 8 hours and 14 minutes, up three minutes from the previous season.

Two hours of primetime TV per night. I assume there's at least another half hour of non-primetime viewing (and suspect it's more like an additional hour or two).

And the average person says he's busy.
