A drizzly morning: 5:45, with little time to write. I have to take Jack to his rocket football game . . . in a town an hour away, and he must be there by 7:30. The game doesn't start until 8:30, but he has to be there an hour early. Don't ask me why. I don't make the rules. I just complain about them.
On the bright side, I've found a new favorite beer. It's Oberon Ale from Bell's Brewery in Kalamazoo. I'm generally not a big fan of micro brews. An assortment of micro brews is like a box of assorted chocolates: they all look good, but you know at least half of them will be nasty. But not Oberon. It's been around awhile, but I never tried it until Thursday night. My firm was at an attorney mixer in Kalamazoo, and they were serving Miller Lite or Oberon. I opted for beer. Three bottles later, I was hooked.
When I went to the drinking club last night, I confirmed that they had Oberon on tap. I drank two tall glasses with my wife, then came home, talked a bit with the children, and went to bed early.
Blogging will be a little light. I have the away football game this morning, then my daughter has a soccer game this afternoon. But I'll probably squeeze in a post or two.
Until next week, may your drinks stay cool and your disposition warm.
