Brews You Can Use III

All you wanted to know about Belgian Beer. Excerpt:

Trappist/Abbey:
Abbeys are the name for a variety of strong, flavorful ales brewed by monasteries or by commission at commercial breweries. Trappist beers are brewed - by law - only by monks at one of five monasteries. Wonderfully balanced brews that are ranked by color: Red is slightly sweet and pleasant; white is drier; and blue is nuttier and strong, with an alcohol content that is often 9 percent. Chimay is the best known Trappist here.
