The perfect buzz. I may have found it last night in a bottle of Yellow Tail Pinot Grigio. I bought it on a lark. I knocked off work at 4:15 and decided to buy a bottle of Pinot from my client wine seller across the street. Instead, I bought three: one brand I'd never heard of, and two bottles by the immensely-popular Yellow Tail folks.
I loved it. It has a strong lime bite at the beginning and a smooth finish. My taste for its fruitiness probably means I'm some sort of repressed homo, but that's alright. I polished off the bottle before leaving for the high school football game at 7:00. A splendid disposition accompanied me for nearly three hours. By 10:00, I was on the couch, exhausted, but I was happy that I felt upbeat for hours. Usually, I feel whipped an hour after I quit drinking.
Blogging will be light today. Reasons? (1) Jack (10) has a football game at 8:00; he needs to be there at 7:00. (2) Michael (8) has a soccer game this morning. (3) Meg (5) has a soccer game this morning. (4) Abbie (12) has a soccer game this afternoon. (5) My alma maters (UM and ND) do battle at 3:30.
Until next week.
