This last week "was the least-watched week in recorded history for the four biggest broadcast networks." Link. Unfortunately, analysts think it's because the Fourth-of-July week is always weak, and the programming was worse than usual. In other words, it's not because people are playing outdoors with their children, drinking tall ones with friends, praying in front of the Blessed Sacrament, reading the works of Shakespeare, listening to Mozart, or engaging in other superlative activities.
