Rough morning. I don't know what happened yesterday, but I felt hungover all day, then came down with a nasty stomach ache in the evening. It slowly lifted last night, but was still tender around 3:00 a.m. I woke up today, feeling groggy and sore, like I was just wearing off a bender from Thursday night.
And I drank only two beers Thursday night. If two beers give me a hangover, I'm going to have to change "Brews You Can Use" to "Cokes You Can Use" or something else that packs about 1/20th of the humor potential. I guess there's always wine.
Slow-going around the Eudemon lately. Readership levels have recovered and climbed back to normal after the vacation week. Posting has been good (at least from my perspective, which is warped), but email correspondence from readers is down. I hope it's not a product of "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."
Speaking of email, I have a new email account. You can use the yahoo account to the left (I check it daily), but you can also use my new gmail account: ericscheske @ gmail. com. (Note: There are not spaces in the middle of the address; I put them in to throw off spammers.) Friends and editors and family (and anyone else who wants to), please take notice of the new email. My old email software crashed and I can't recover any of my contacts.
There are about two months left in the summer sprint. I am currently entertaining three nieces and nephews. Later this month, I have three others coming down for a few days. I also have trips scheduled to Alpena (annual trip to family cottage), Cleveland (baptism), Milwaukee (wedding), Detroit (baseball game), and Frankenmuth (another in-law gathering). Blogging might be a little spotty, but then again, so will my sanity, so it's probably good that I stay away from a keyboard. As always, I'll post notices when blogging will grow sparse.
Until next week, drink a cold one for me.
