More elephant attacks took place last week (I must've missed it b/c I was on vacation):

Herds of wild elephants are running amok in Assam, damaging vast swathes of crops and also mud and thatch huts as they move out of their jungles to look for rice beer in human settlement areas in northeastern India.

They say elephants are smart. This is a reason, though, to fight obesity in children. When they get older, they'll rampage for beer.
