While doing a little channel surfing last night, I watched ten minutes of The Colbert Report (my sons' baseball game was rained out, thus blessing me with a little free time). I was dumbfounded. I've never seen ten minutes of more secularist, anti-Christian, mocking television. It's not often you see something so relentlessly one-sided. It was a "What the heck?" moment for me. In ten minutes, they mocked Christ, Christians, the Bible, and people who oppose gay marriage. It made Jon Stewart's The Daily Show look balanced.
Addendum: I searched Comedy Central's website to find out more about them. It's owned by MTV. MTV, incidentally, is owned by Viacom, which is one of the entertainment behemoths (CBS, Clear Channel, Spike! TV Land, Dream Works, Paramount, Blockbuster Video, etc.).
