The Episcopal Church on Sunday elected Nevada Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori as the first female chief pastor of the denomination and the first female leader in the history of the world Anglican Communion.
Link.
Of course, she's neither a pope nor a bishop, but no matter. It's still a lot of fun. Bless the Episcopalians. They make the RCC look better and better every day.
Old anecdote (which I've used before, but it merits repeating):
There was a meeting between RCC bishops and Anglican bishops, which included their first female bishop. After one of the RCC bishops greeted her as “bishop," another RC bishop quietly said to him, “You really shouldn't call her 'bishop.'' The first RCC bishop said, “Why not? She's as much of a bishop as the rest of them.”
