I haven't heard of anything bad happening, and the infamous date has already passed in parts of the world. I made it back from Lansing, and my children are okay. If you've been killed or something, let me know.
One devilish problem, though: my computer is still malfunctioning. My email is down, and I can't use all aspects of Internet Explorer. My computer tech was here for almost three hours. He found the error (a bad language module, or some such thing), downloaded the supposed cure ("service pack 2"), and it still doesn't work. He's flummoxed. Short of nuking all my computer applications and starting over, he doesn't know what to recommend.
Until this thing is fixed, I'll be blogging from Mozilla's Firefox software. It's pretty much the same thing, but it's a little different. Please forgive typos and any formatting errors.
