Miscellaneous Rambling
A TDE reader sends along this dialogue in response to my Nazi-occult observation yesterday:
EATON: What would the Nazis want with this - this Staff of Ra?
BRODY: I can tell you that. Over the last two years the Nazis have had teams of archeologists running around the world looking for all kinds of religious artifacts.
MUSGROVE: That's right. Hitler's a nut on the subject. Crazy. He's obsessed with the occult.
The fourth Luminous Mystery: The Transfiguration. When I get to that mystery, one thing sticks out to me: What were He, Moses and Elijah talking
about? Everything is perfect in heaven, so it has no potentiality, which, unless I miss my philosophical mark, is the thing that underlies all conversation on earth. Can you think of a conversation that doesn't have blemish, change, comparison, or plan as its fuel? Perhaps He was briefing them on how things were going, but you'd think they were already aware of everything that was going on. So the only thing I can come up with is, Elijah and Moses must've been telling Him about events in other parts of the world.
Feel free to shred that Transfiguration analysis, btw. It is (unless I internalized it somewhere along the line) strictly something I've come up with on my own and, therefore, presumably wrong.
This article says the Patriots orchestrate fourth quarter comebacks because they're far better conditioned than other teams. In particular, they know how to train by running. I have no idea whether that's true, though it seems awfully hard to believe.
