In case that last picture sobered you up too much, here's a picture of G.K. Chesterton books and a couple bottles of wine. GKC was a big wine drinker (they say he could write well--very well--while drunk). The books and wine are taken from my library.
I have a couple of dozen GKC books in my study, so this is just a small sampling, though the two books standing upright are collector's editions of The Poet and the Lunatic and The Coloured Lands. On-line resources say these books, in the fair condition I have them, would be worth nearly $200. Nothing to brag about, but given that I buy most of my books in paperback as cheaply as possible, those two volumes are the monetary jewel in my library.
