Salute to a Great Lady

One of this blog's most dedicated readers turns 39 today: My mom.

Born in the hills of Kentucky, you wouldn't know it from the amount of class she brings to life: impeccable speech and manners, a consistent dislike of the vulgar and base, conservative devotion. A fine lady whom I would do well to emulate more often.

Happy birthday, mother. You did a fine job. If it's not always evident in my day-to-day living, the fault rests with this blogger, not with you.
