Man, there's scarcely nothing to blog about today. I have a new feature that I'm kicking around (which I might call, "Sobering the Drunk in Gatsby" or something like that), but it's not ready yet. It'll feature pictures, something I've never done because it wasn't possible. With my wife's purchase of a new high-end digital camera and memory card, it's now possible.

I have one PSA: If you're a hockey fan, be aware that Outdoor Life Network is carrying the NHL playoffs. I watched my Red Wings last night at the drinking club and when I got home. The coverage was pretty good. It's a fall from grace for the NHL (ESPN/ABC to ONL), but I suspect ESPN/ABC will feel it worse. The NHL had a great year in ticket sales, especially considering the suicide that everyone thought they committed last year.

ESPN, meanwhile, seems to be running with two captains: ABC and political correctness. During March, SportsCenter dedicated nearly half of their coverage to the woman's tournament and NASCAR. Odd combination, that, but hardly surprising. SportsCenter (and ESPN in general) has really gone downhill in the past five years. I wish Fox would launch a full-time sports channel, instead of all those local Fox sports stations. I think the ESPN pinata is ready for a whacking.

Related: I trust everyone noticed that my Detroit teams had the best records in the NBA and NHL. The Tigers are also playing good ball. I'm enjoying it while I can. I figure the Lions will come along in September and make the Motor City a laughingstock again. Then again, this new coaching staff seems promising. We'll see.
