I don't have a lot to say about this, except that it's a terrible sin to put media into the hands of juvenile delinquents:
The German bishops' conference has issued a statement protesting plans by the MTV network to show "Popetown," a crude parody of life at the Vatican. The bishops said that they "have not given up hope" that the network will decide to air the series, which is now scheduled to begin in May.
The bishops protested the broadcast of commercial advertising the program, which showed a man watching television while wearing a crown of thorns. That obvious reference to Christ's suffering, broadcast during Holy Week, "mocked and ridiculed the central tenets of the Christian faith," their statement noted.
