I spend more time surfing the web than I care to admit. Yet I routinely run across things--big things--that I've never even heard of, like the [Annual Web Awards](http://2006.sxsw.com/interactive/web%5Fawards/winners/?ref=thedailyeudemon.com), now in its ninth year. It has an assortment of neat sites, though it's definitely geared to the wire heads (today's version of "gear heads").
