Well, I made it to the Inklings hangout. The current owners capitalize on the connection, but tastefully so. If you find yourself in southern England, I would definitely recommend a trip to Oxford and lunch at the Eagle and Child. The food was very good (as far as British food goes) and they had a great assortment of beers and gin.
And herewith the only inside footage of the Eagle and Child that, to the best of my knowledge, is available anywhere on the Web. You'll excuse the shoddy workmanship, but I had no idea whether such taping would be encouraged or frowned upon, so I didn't hold my phone at a convenient angle. Quite frankly, I'm surprised the video came out even this good. (FYI: I'm initially standing in the middle, with my camera pointed towards the front of the pub. I then walk toward the back.)
