Saturday Evening Eudemon

Settling back with six of the seven children, watching Hidalgo. I heard good things about it. We'll see.

I just got back from an outing with Alex (12). I took him to the video store to pick out the movie, then took him to Mike's Pizza, downtown, for nachos and subs. Just a little father-son time that was enjoyable. We then walked three doors down to the town bookstore.

I hit a small jackpot. It's an ordinary bookstore with the ordinary books: ex-president bios, gift books, stuff like that. But in the upstairs, they have used books, and I occasionally find a good book there. Tonight, I found three:

The Letters of Abelard and Heloise: $5.00
The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ: $5.00
Bobos in Paradise: $4.00

All in excellent condition.

I'm pretty stoked.

And in case any of you think I'm a nerd, The Letters of Abelard and Heloise were actually talked about briefly during an episode of The Sopranos (fifth season).
