$100K Brokeback Shirts
Tom Gregory just spent more than $100,000 on two used cowboy shirts. And he couldn't be happier.
The shirts are the ones worn by the ill-fated lovers, played by Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal, in Oscar front-runner "Brokeback Mountain."
The shirts that represent their relationship. The shirts that, to Gregory, represent the ongoing plight of gays for acceptance in society.
"They really are the ruby slippers of our time," said Gregory, 45.

Great story. The "ruby slippers of our time." What does that mean? There's no place like home (dropping the "e" and adding an "o"?). The shirts will keep you safe from the witch? I honestly don't get it. It must just be that Judy Garland infatuation thing.
I also like this guy's honestly. Whereas many fans keep defending the film, saying it's not about advancing the homosexual cause, this homosexual says it is. I haven't seen the movie so I can't comment, but based on the drooling appreciation from Hollywood types and the busting-with-pride reaction of gays, I gotta believe it is.
(The above link to Judy Garland, by the way, says Garland is "an Elvis for homosexuals." That's one of the funniest things I've read this week.)
